Here is my journal entries for this day of travel...

It is already after 2pm and we are still in Regina. We had a later breakfast at a restaurant that Tim is a ‘regular’ at… actually very good prices for dining out. Now… we wait to have a wheel alignment done, then, the plan is to go to Winnipeg… this could prove to be a long long day!
Now... 6:35 pm we are in Saskatchewan as yet. We are about 130 km from the Manitoba / Saskatchewan border. WE decided to drive on into the night, as we really wanted to be at Winnipeg tomorrow to go to Grand Beach. So... we are eating on the run. John and I had sandwiches a while ago, the kids shall eat later as they did have McDonalds fries before leaving Regina, and they also had chips from Superstore. We have not been the best parents as far as keeping our kids nutritionally balanced the last two days, and 'Bobby' rings this true in telling me that he had not had a b.m., for two days, so I do intend to get some cherries into him tonight so he has decent dietary fiber to help his bowels.
We moved into a different time zone, now in Manitoba, so move our clocks ahead 1 hour. We have stopped for the night at Portage La Prairie, about 70km from Winnipeg ... so did not quite make our intended destination for the day, but did well in spite of our late departure from Regina.
Again we are not in a campground ... 3 nights away from home and not a campground yet... we are in a shopping center parking lot as we figured there was no sense in paying for a campsite when we were merely stopping to sleep then move on. There is a Tim Horton’s in this parking lot... so we know where the morning coffee is coming from. Our eldest and youngest did at least take initiative tonight to set up their own beds.
Well, time for sleep.
